This is titled “Ambrosia” which is close to the word “Androsia” the batiking process in The Bahamas and a way of using wax resist and dye on fabric. It is considered one of the national fabrics. However, many of the companies know how to make this fabric are owned by foreign parties. Furthermore, many locals cannot afford this fabric what is commonly called “The Fabric of The Bahamas.”

It follows the name ambrosia. It was food of Greek gods. This was only shared with mortals if that human was to become immortal. This isn’t saying Bahamians view foreign parties like gods, but that treatment of the common man has not changed. It has shapeshifted.
